FACILITIES
Whitchester stands in three acres of carefully-tended, landscaped grounds.
In Spring the woodland is carpeted with snowdrops, aconites and daffodils, followed by tulips and bluebells. For those hot days and warm summer evenings the summer house and woodland give shelter, while in Autumn the trees are ablaze with colour. Roses and shrubs border the large front lawn, which can be used for a variety of activities, including croquet and lawn boules.
Outside of our annexe rooms flower beds have been created for those with mobility problems to enjoy.
At the rear of the building we have our own walled garden and orchard, where we grow a variety of vegetables and fruits. Guests are welcome to wander around and identify what we are growing and check out what’s in our greenhouse. There is also a rustic patio area if you wish to sit in the sun and enjoy the garden view!
All we ask is that you close the gates behind you – to stop those deer and rabbits!
