Grounds
Whichester stands in three acres of carefully-tended, landscaped
grounds. In Spring the woodland is carpeted with snowdrops, aconites
and daffodils, followed by tulips and bluebells. For those hot
days and warm summer evenings the summer house and gazebo give
shelter, while in Autumn the trees are ablaze with colour. Roses
and shrubs border the large front lawn, which can be used for a
variety of activities, including croquet and badminton.
At the rear of the building we have our own walled garden and
orchard, where we grow a variety of vegetables and fruits. Guests
are welcome to wander around and identify what we are growing and
check out what's in our polytunnel.
All we ask is that you close
the gates behind you - to stop those rabbits!
